Avo Photonics is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. Responsibilities:
Ensure the customer’s requirements are captured and the development effort is fully defined.
Continuously review the optical, mechanical, and system level design progress and redirect as needed to efficiently derive a product design that meets or exceeds the customer requirements as well as the highest standards for innovation, quality, and manufacturability.
Prepare and present periodic status updates to customers.
Ensure deliverables are on track and update the customer on any schedule changes.
Ensure profitability of each assigned program throughout its life cycle from development through full scale production.
Prepare cost models and quotes for existing and new clients.
Identify new development opportunities with existing customers during regular customer meetings and with new customers at trade shows.
Requirements:
M.Sc. or higher in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related technical field
5 years of Program/Project Management or System Engineering experience in Photonics
Deep understanding of optical component assembly / packaging processes
High attention to detail, personable, social harmonizer, integrated planner, able to resolve conflicts, motivated, willing to take initiative
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
