Avo Photonics (www.avophotonics.com) is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops, and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. Members of our staff can design, prototype, and produce next generation products for a diverse range of markets including environmental, medical, military, industrial, aerospace, and communications.
We seek a diligent, dedicated, and meticulous Manufacturing Planner who will help to further our success and reputation in the industry through world-class customer service. The successful candidate must plan his/her own work schedule, keep multiple records, be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership of projects.
Responsibilities:
Establish daily and weekly production build schedules to meet customer demand
Release and distribute production orders to meet build schedules
Maintain subassembly stock to appropriate levels
Ensure production jobs close accurately and within the defined period
Coordinate with Inventory and Manufacturing to resolve any material issues
Present open job status regularly to enable problem resolution
Analyze demand and identify any potential material shortages; alert Program Managers when new orders are needed
Manage routings and Bills of Material within ERP/MES systems
Work with Finance to set-up new items in ERP system
Requirements:
B.S. in Operations Management or equivalent experience
3+ years of Manufacturing Planning experience with ERP systems
Highly proficient in spreadsheet applications
Comfortable working in cleanroom environment
Proven ability to communicate and lead effectively across organizations
Experience leading teams for problem resolution
Ability to communicate in English clearly and concisely
