Avo Photonics (www.avophotonics.com) is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. The successful candidate must plan his/her own work schedule, keep multiple records, be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership of projects.
Specifically:
Lead team production builds as assigned, including coordination of materials and training of appropriate level of production staff for each process step
Balance technician and operator workloads to accomplish production goals within normal workweek without the need for overtime
Perform complex manufacturing processes, including minor process development and/or application development for automated assembly equipment
Assemble and maintain production assembly and test equipment, including ongoing preventive maintenance
Communicate promptly and clearly with the Manufacturing Manager regarding any problems, results of troubleshooting, and plans to resolve
Requirements:
B.S. in an Engineering or Science discipline
4 years experience performing complex manufacturing processes or in an engineering support role for technical manufacturing
Proficient in spreadsheet applications
Proven ability to independently plan and implement solutions for manufacturing equipment problems
