Avo Photonics is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. Members of our staff have the opportunity to design, prototype and produce next generation products for a diverse range of markets including environmental, medical, military, industrial, aerospace, and communications.

The successful candidate must plan his/her own work schedule, keep multiple records, be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership of projects.
Specifically:
Receive, review, and process high volume of invoices promptly and efficiently, including obtaining all necessary approvals & support.
Accurately enter invoice details into the accounting system, ensuring completeness and accuracy of information.
Prepare and process payment batches, including checks, ACH transfers, and electronic payments, in accordance with payment terms and company policies.
Manage vendor accounts, including communication regarding payment inquiries, discrepancies, and account reconciliations.
Coordinate with Purchasing & Receiving departments to obtain required supporting documentation
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations in all accounts payable activities.
Identify process improvements for efficiency and collaborate with team members to implement solutions.
Generate and analyze accounts payable reports to provide insights into vendor performance, payment trends, and other relevant metrics.
Provide ad hoc support to the Finance team and assist with special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting
3 years’ experience in accounts payable or similar role, with a solid understanding of accounts payable processes and principles; manufacturing industry experience preferred.
Proficiency in Excel and ERP software, SAP preferred
Strong attention to detail, along with excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong sense of accountability and process ownership
Effective problem-solving abilities and flexibility in a dynamic work environment
